We have always felt privileged to be of service to healthcare professionals. Our focus has always been about listening closely to the needs of the organization and candidate, and then bringing the best together. Here are excerpts from a few of the letters we have received over the years.
I can not express adequately how appreciative I am to have had your assistance and expertise over the last several weeks. This has been the best hiring process I have ever had. This new position will expose me to a brand new area of nursing and truly help advance my professional career. I learned many interviewing and interpersonal skills from you and these are things I hope to pass on to future nurses I will work with. Thank you Sam, for your knowledge, hard work and true professionalism. I will certainly recommend you and your company to others in the nursing profession.
I felt respected and valued throughout the interview process.
I wouldn’t be where I am today without your encouragement. I want to thank you for your kindness, guidance and understanding.
Silver Oak represented me accurately and thoroughly with a level of professionalism that was second to none. Post interview follow-ups were comprehensive and insightful.
Sam’s strong attributes are that she carefully comes to understand the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization. I have never felt as though she sends me candidate’s resumes just for the sake of placing someone. She has always taken the time to provide me with candidates she felt matched my requirements. I have always gotten honest feedback and open discussion about the candidate’s skills and abilities. She is helpful in securing valid references and works very hard to facilitate the candidate’s transition into the organization. Sam does a nice job of being a good agent for the organization as well as the candidate and works with the candidate to get them where they need to be if there are unreasonable expectations on their part.
In particular, your thorough understanding of the healthcare industry coupled with your unique ability to access candidates has given me unconditional confidence in your ability to identify the best possible candidate for my organization. I always have complete confidence that you are fully dedicated to the success of our searches and I truly value your professionalism and follow through.
I have had the pleasure of working with Sam Buster on a number of projects over the last eleven years. Of the firms that provide similar services, Sam stands out as one of the most masterful at matching organizations’ needs with the abilities of individual clients. Her keen sense of finding that right fit for her clients certainly makes her a standout in what must be a very competitive field. My first experience with Sam began with a call one evening at a time that I was looking for other opportunities. It was only after spending a great deal of time discussing me over several phone calls that Sam suggested an opportunity in another state. She took considerable time to match my skills, experience, and career goals to what that organization was seeking. Since that experience, Sam has found applicants for some of my most difficult to fill positions. Each candidate has been exceptional and further evidence of Sam’s extraordinary ability to find the best talent.
I want to express my extreme appreciation and gratitude for working so hard to find the perfect person to fill our Perinatal Nurse Educator position. Your attention to detail, your organizational skills and your communication skills have been superb. I have great respect for your abilities and can assure you that you will be utilized 100% exclusively by myself in future consultation matters where professional nurses of high quality are needed.
Your professionalism and personal touch in dealing with both hospital as a client and the individual recruits is exemplary. You are a credit to the world of recruitment firms. Thanks again.
I have especially appreciated her detailed screening of the applicants’ professional capabilities as well as their personal circumstances to ensure the best possible fit with the organization’ s culture, goals and objectives. She has always been available and responsive when called by me and the candidate that she represents.
I first worked with Silver Oak as a candidate during a period when I was seeking an opportunity to advance from a Department Director to an Executive Level. Silver Oak represented my interests and me accurately, thoroughly, and with a level of professionalism that was second to none. Post-interview follow ups were comprehensive and insightful. My next contact with Silver Oak was when I was recruiting for a Director of Behavioral Health Service that would report to me as VP of Professional Services. Again, Silver Oak demonstrated a thorough understanding of our facility, the needs of our department, the type of person we needed. The candidate we hired through Silver Oak doubled our units of service and grew our revenues by twenty-two percent. It was due to the comprehensive work performed by Silver Oak that allowed us to obtain such an outstanding candidate.
Sam talked with me to learn about my management style, the culture of the organization, the characteristics we value in a manager and the essential skills of the successful candidate. I found her to be honest, open and sincerely interested in matching the right candidate with the organization. I feel she was interested in both the candidate and the organization and worked to please both.
On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Clinical Nurse Specialist Foundation, I want to thank you for your support of the third annual Clinical Nurse Specialist Foundation Gala. The generous support of Silver Oak Search Consultants, Inc in the amount of $5,000 was very much appreciated. The Foundation presented its second scholarship this year and your support will help us to continue and expand our support of educating more Clinical Nurse Specialists throughout the country.
Throughout the search process at our hospital, I found Sam to be personable, articulate, knowledgeable and tireless. I felt that she conducted a thorough search of qualified candidates and that she was very sensitive to the needs of our Hospital Board to seek out candidates that had previous success in managing a hospital organization very similar to ours. We are all very pleased with the outcome of our search.
Sam spends a good amount of time learning the organization, the characteristics of the ideal candidate, the work they will need to focus on and the culture they will need to thrive in. I have found Sam to be sincerely concerned about a candidate’s fit within the organization, the position and their ability to add value to an organization. She is very honest, respectful and works hard to make sure the match of the candidate to the organization will work. Sam is not out to close the deal as much as she is to provide you with an excellent candidate that will sustain a long term relationship with her company. I will continue to work with Sam for a very long time.
I’ve had the privilege of working with Silver Oak over approximately the past twelve years. Silver Oak has successfully recruited for me a Director of Surgical Services, Director of Critical Care, Director of Emergency Services and a Physician Practice Administrator. The skills which I believe set Silver Oak apart are 1) A very comprehensive assessment of the candidate both in interest and skills, 2) Extremely comprehensive references including the scope of the responsibilities the employee had, independence, reasons for leaving the organization, strengths and weaknesses, 3) Willingness to expand the references, at the request of the client, to whatever degree necessary, and 4) Skilled preparation of the candidate before the interview and preparation of the candidate to assure willingness to accept the job if offered. I continue to work with Silver Oak and have found the candidates presented to be extremely capable and stable. The candidates have remained with the organization for many years.
